Rainbow Connection Quilters

We started in 2007 with a quilt made one very rainy weekend with friends from across Sydney and across the world connected by patchwork and quilting. Our members have included quilters and novices from far and wide - NSW, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland (Australia), New Zealand, Massachusetts and Connecticut (USA), N.Ireland, Cornwall, Shropshire and Wales (UK). All our quilts are for charity, either raffled to earn money or donated directly to a nearby charity.

Jeanette's Patchwork Group Celebrates

Jeanette has sent some photos of their gathering for their 25th anniversary.

The cake is amazing. The sewing machine on it is a working music box that played when you pulled out a drawer.

These 5 ladies are the original members. Val, in the maroon jacket is 96!. She still sees well and loves doing hexies by hand too.

21 members attended. They were so lucky that lockdown was lifted the night before!

This mini quilt is Jeanette's current project. It is 1.5" squares. She is doing double this size.
