Karen's latest finishes

 Karen writes...

I was intending to bring the finished baby coverlet to our November get-together but took the opportunity of Mike being here this past week to get him to take it back to Darwin. It is for his latest graddaughter Fleur. It only has two layers (a floral cotton backing) to make it more useful in Darwin's climate.

I also made two hot-dish cosies for Rick from 2 flannelettes and and a dark blue cotton and two layers of batting. Top-stitching the 4 layers resulted in my machine's tension going haywire and I've had to take it for servicing. So I've now got three weeks without my machine. Still, I've got plenty of other things to do till I get it back.

Last night's finish for Betty

I'm pleased with my latest finish.

I Believe

A cancelled weekend

Unfortunately I had to cancel our last get-together to go to Mum in hospital (she is 99 and having heart issues).

Jeanette sent lots of pics from her group's Stay at Home Retreat quilting day. She was going to zoom in from there.

I think I like the heart one best but I also like the starry one too. Val, how great that you are still working hard and sharing your talents.

What a crowd of happy quilters who are producing amazing work. Thanks Jeanette.

Kathryn and I had a day together

We both had projects to do and a lot was achieved even though I was absent for a few hours visiting Mum in hospital.

I've put together my blue colour chaos quilt top and Kathryn decided to try our latest block for her own quilt. It is now all together.

Kathryn also finished her huge blue hexie so that table runner is ready to put together. You can just see it peeking out from behind the colour chaos top.
