Jeanette's Emmaline Bag

As Jeanette is unable to be on Zoom with us on Saturday I am posting pictures of her latest creation - an Emmaline Bag.

She writes ... Last Saturday our patch group had a workshop with a lady from Geraldton teaching us to make these bags. I was quite impressed at the end of the day.

It looks great Jeanette and most useful in all sorts of ways.

Elaine's Disappearing Broken Dishes

Firstly Glenda and I did some work on Friday and have now finished the two Blue Star quilt tops. Our next task is to sandwich these.

Meanwhile, Elaine continues to work hard and has finished her Disappearing Broken Dishes quilt. I has turned out really well.

We'll be doing this block soon. It is great for using those large print fabrics that are not really suitable for our small piece patchwork. If you want to try it sooner than we get to it just do an internet search for Disappearing Broken Dishes patchwork block.

Progress at our March gathering

Six of us gathered at mine on Saturday and progress was made on our current quilts.

The two blue star quilts are coming along now that Stephanie was able to find some beautiful border fabrics for them.

This one is ready to sandwich next time.

This one is ready for its borders to make it a usable size.

Our green stars are also looking great and we thought a dark green peeper before a mid green border then binding in dark green is the way to go with this one.

There was lots of cutting of squares and bartering to gather the required number of fabrics for our next Mystery Block and I will send out instructions for this one very soon.

Jeanette joined us on Zoom in the afternoon and it was really interesting to see her various experiments.

It would be great to see everyone together for our next day. If you have not returned any of your blocks please do so asap so that we can put together the next few quilts. We have the three quilts above in progress and three other quilts ready to be joined to make quilt tops.

Betty's latest doiley quilt

On my recent train holiday I was able to progress a little on my latest Peaches and Cream doiley quilt that I am making for my upstairs bed. It is coming together quite nicely.
