Over the last few wet days I have quilted Carol's Cabins and am now enjoying the warmth over my knees in front to TV in the evenings as I hand stitch the binding. Then it will be finished.
And this morning I have finished the borders on the two Seminole quilts and am much happier with this than the previous calico borders.
These two quilts are now ready for sandwiching which takes two people so if you are ready to come and help with that just let me know via email.
We started in 2007 with a quilt made one very rainy weekend with friends from across Sydney and across the world connected by patchwork and quilting. Our members have included quilters and novices from far and wide - NSW, Victoria, Western Australia and Queensland (Australia), New Zealand, Massachusetts and Connecticut (USA), N.Ireland, Cornwall, Shropshire and Wales (UK). All our quilts are for charity, either raffled to earn money or donated directly to a nearby charity.

Two more visitors this week
Some progress has been made!
Elaine visited on Tuesday and finished the back for Carol's quilt, then Kathryn came on Wednesday. After making her next block while I completed most of the border for the Seminole quilts we assembled the sandwich for Carol's quilt. It is now ready to tack so I am calling for visitors who would like to do that. I am happy with a visitor who has been basically isolated safely as I have. Just let me know.
Kathryn decided that my word "floof" to describe floating the layers of the quilt over the table was an interesting one. We agreed that floofing actually requires at least two people.
Lots of fun, lots done.
More to do, just waiting for you.

Two visitors today
Stephanie has delivered lots of cottons and two more backing fabrics that might suit our Seminole quilts. Stephanie brought along the quilted finished stripy quilt.
I have now drawn the winner - Lynette so let's see what she would like to be done with this quilt. It is not labelled yet but I'll add that to my To Do list.
Robyn came for morning coffee and brought her latest finish which is wonderful. Many of you will remember Robyn who was a member of our group years ago and lives quite close by.
I just loved the log cabin edges. They finish it so well!
And the leaves made from tiny 1/2" squares were wonderful!
I loved it all. Thank you for your show and tell Robyn.

A delivery from Carol
Today Carol came to collect her next fabric and delivered one of our quilt tops that she has now put together for us. I had given it to her in pieces from the design wall a while back during lockdown. Now all we have to do is sandwich it and bind it.
Magnificent! I love it. And I've even found some backing and binding for it. Thank you Carol.

Projects from Karen W.
Karen has sent through some pictures of her recent finishes to put here because she has now given them away and will not be able to show them on Friday.
The first was intended for their mother but her illness progressed very quickly so she didn't get to see it. However, it was draped over her coffin at the funeral. One of my cousins liked it so I gave it to her. Then her sister wanted one, too. That was only finished recently and is slightly different because I didn't have all of the same fabrics. Both have purple minky on the back.
I saw one of them before it went and it felt so beautifully cuddly and silky with the minky on the back.
